In December 2018, the European Commission identified a new SVHC. The substance, 1,7,7-trimethyl-3-(phenylmethylene)bicyclo[2.2.1]heptan-2-one (3-benzylidene camphor) with EC No 239-139-9 and CAS No 15087-24-8 was identified as a substance of very high concern under EU REACH.
