On December 9, 2104, South Korea published the final version of the Act on the Registration and Evaluation of Chemicals (K-REACH), and the Chemicals Control Act (CCA). The ministerial decree is to be published in December 2014 and go into effect on January 1st. 2015.
K-REACH is designed to replace the replace South Korea’s existing Toxic Chemicals Control Act (TCCA) by managing new chemical substances, existing chemical substances and downstream products via requirements for registration, hazard evaluation and risk assessment.
