The GoodBye Chain Group

On October 5th, 2011 South Korea's Ministry of Environment (MoE) published in its Official Gazette a revised list of banned chemical substances under its Toxic Chemical Control Law (TCCL).

 The revised list includes specific substances under the following generic groups: 
  • benzene and its salts
  • strychnine and its salts
  • chlordimeform and its salts
  • paraquat salts
  • pentachlorophenol and its salts
  • 2-naphthylamine and its hydrochloride
  • 4-aminobiphenyl and its hydrochloride
The second revision was on October 19th when the MoE added the following two substances to the to the Toxic Chemical Substances Act’s list of toxic chemical substances:  
  • 1,4-Dichloro-2-(1,1,2,3,3,3-hexafluoropropoxy)-5-nitrobenzen and mixtures containing 25% or more of the substance (CAS 130841-23-5)
  • 4,4'-[Isopropylidenebis(4,1-phenyleneoxy)]dianili and mixtures containing 25% or more of the substance (CAS 13080-86-9)
